Trump Approval Survey Results

Before the 2016 election, I sent out a survey asking the Friends’ Central community for their opinions on certain political and social issues. Now that we’ve elected a new president who has been in office for roughly five months, I felt that I needed to create a new survey specifically about our president.

This survey had a turnout of 25 responses. That’s not a large number, but it’s a good enough sample of our community. The questions asked during the survey are as follows:

  • Overall, do you approve of President Trump?
  • How much do you approve of Trump?
  • How much do you approve of VP Mike Pence?
  • How much do you approve of Trump’s cabinet?
  • Do you agree with Trump’s border wall proposal?
  • Do you think that Trump is doing enough to address terrorism?
  • Do you think that Trump is doing enough to address prejudice and hate crimes?
  • Do you agree that networks like CNN and MSNBC are “fake news”?
  • Do you agree with Trump’s travel ban?
  • Did you support the Women’s March?
  • Did you approve of Trump’s first congressional address?

The results of this survey, of course, were as expected. Our student body generally tends to have more liberal anti-Trump views. However, there were some topics that saw a diversity of opinions, such as whether the president was doing enough to address terrorism. The majority of people who selected “other” stated that he was doing too much. At the other end of the spectrum, nobody agrees with Trump’s travel ban (some people selected “other”).

Without further ado, here are the results:

If you haven’t taken the survey and you would still like to, click hereI will occasionally be looking at the results, and it would be great if there were as many people participating as possible.
