There are several new Minecraft versions coming out including Minecraft Earth and Minecraft 1.15 Java Edition. Minecraft Earth was announced on May 17th, 2019. On August 30th, Minecraft Earth BETA was released in some cities for Android users. Minecraft Earth is supposed to come out in late October so very soon. Minecraft Earth will be released to Android and Apple smartphones in select cities. Minecraft Earth is going to be like Pokemon Go and Minecraft combined, it is made to have the Minecraft experience with building structures, but, you can build them in real life. You can also fight monsters in real life.
Minecraft 1.15 is supposed to be a game-changing update. It will have three new dimensions and four new bosses. The update also is going to have twenty new mobs. Some new mobs include ghosts, pandas, sharks, bears, and much more. The bosses are like the Ender Dragon or The Wither. The new bosses include The Slime Lord, A Giant Zombie, The Elder Witch, Red Dragon, Death Shark, Ghast King, and Reaper Ghost. In Minecraft 1.15 there are going to also be new biomes. Some biomes are The Haunted Forest. The Haunted Forest is one of the biggest biome updates. It will have dead and dark leaves on the floor, mobs like zombies, skeletons, and that attack don’t spawn there. There is also a water source that will heal you. Some other biomes are Enchanted Biome, Volcanic Biome, a Bamboo Forest, Deeper Oceans, and Valleys. This version of Minecraft is not out yet, and it still does not have a release date yet. People think it will be coming out in late 2019 and early 2020.
James Pendrak ‘24 says, “It sucks and is probably going to be the worst update,” while Oliver Angert, ‘24 says: “The update is awesome and going to be the best one.” It seems that only time will tell!
