What makes this game so interesting is the amount of new content that the developers put out each year. The standard for a year is four operations. Normally an operation consists of two new operators, a new map, and a map buff. Normally the two operators…

Pokemon Let’s Go Info

Pokemon Let’s Go has changed Pokemon in many ways. It makes it so the player can’t fight wild Pokemon, and that might sound like a bad thing, but it makes the game quicker more efficient and easier. It also changes the process of catching Pokemon and shiny hunting. Now that the player can see Pokemon while walking through the routes, it is possible to actually catch ’em all. Some pokemon are version-exclusive (for either Pokemon Let’s Go: Pikachu or Pokemon Let’s Go: Eevee) so here is a guide. P = Pikachu, E = Eevee Growlithe (P), Arcanine (P), Vulpix (E), Ninetails (E), Oddish (P), Gloom (P), Vileplume (P), Bellsprout (E), Weepinbell (E), Victreebel (E), Sandshrew (P), Sandslash (P), Meowth (E), Persian (E), Electabuzz (P), Magmar (E), Grimer (P), Muk (P), Koffing (E), Weezing (E), Mankey (P), Primeape (P), Ekans (E), Arbok (E), Scyther (P), Pinsir (E). The second trailer was released on October 2nd, 2018, exactly 72 days before the official release. Unlike many other Marvel movies, Into The Spider-Verse is animated.   Ratings: Ratings: Here are some of the ratings on a few websites. Rotten Tomatoes 9.9/10, IMDb 8.6/10, Metacritic 8.3/10, IGN 9/10, Google Users 9.7/10. The average rating all around is 9.1/10   Review: I saw Into The Spider-Verse recently and I really enjoyed it. It definitely deserved the ratings that it got. Every detail, like the little dots on the screen, was a throw back to the old comic books. Also, in some of the scenes, there are these text bubbles to really express what the character was feeling. This movie focused on telling the…

6th Grade Derivative Fair

The 6th grade participated in a project for Prima lingua and all the projects turned out great. Each student was given a Latin word to study and they had to find words that derived off of it in other languages. After they found their derivatives, they had to make a project in the Makerspace that had to do with their word. It had to show the derivatives branching off the original Latin word in some way. It also had to have all of the derivatives coded by language in some way. Some people did colors other did shapes or sizes to show the language of the word. The sixth graders did a great job coming up with a clever presentations and showing them to relatives and listening to all the rules of the project. They did most of the building of their projects in the Makerspace and had two entire…

Flyers Personnel Changes

On November 26th, the Flyers fired their general manager. Ron Hextall has officially been let go. He was been with the organization for over four years, joining in May of 2014. The Flyers fan base has mixed feelings on whether he really needed to go. Some say he did a good job of fixing the salary cap situation when he was hired, and the coach should’ve been fired instead. Others say he did not handle the goal situation and should’ve been fired. But regardless he has been replaced with Chuck Fletcher. Many are saying he is the one who will finally bring the Stanley cup back to Philly.   OPINION: In all honesty Hexstall was a horrible general manager and deserved to be fired. He did not handle our goal situation very well. The flyers have never had “that goalie” in a long time. We’ve never had a goalie that…

Spider-Man for PS4

WARNING: BIG SPOILERS At Sony’s E3 Conference in 2017, they released the first gameplay for their new game Spider-Man. Spider-Man was then released for gold members on July 30th, 2018 and released for all users on September 7th, 2018. When this game was released, people were giving it amazing reviews; some people even went on to say, “It is a perfect game.” On the website Metacritic, Spider-Man was given an 8.7/10, IGN gave it an 8.7/10, Google Users gave the game a 9.5/10, and GameSpot gave it a 9/10.   Gameplay: First of all, the gameplay in this game is excellent. The best part (in my opinion) is the web-slinging. It is very realistic and has a great noise. Another part is the fighting animation. Spidey is kind of like a glass cannon: he does a lot of damage but is very weak. It’s like he dies in two hits….

Simpsons Comic Ends

In the month of October 2018, Bongo comics released Simpsons comic #245 with the caption above the title: “It’s a Simpsons send-off,” confirming that comic #245 was the last.  It was announced at ComicCon International in San Diego that the series would be ending along with the Spongebob comic series taking an “extended break” which leaves questions about Bongo’s future. Few know that the long running TV show The Simpsons had a comic series to go along with it. The comic series was a standalone series with a story having nothing to do with the TV show except for the occasional reference in certain episodes and comics. Despite the cancelation of the comics, the show will not be ending and shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. It is currently in its 30th season. There were rumors that the reason Simpsons comics are ending is because in 2018 Mad magazine…
