This article will contain two parts. Part one will be informative, will cover speculation and will also cover first impressions on the two teaser tracks “The Weekend” and “Fine Mess”. Part one will also be written before the rest of the EP has been released while part two will be a full review of the five-track EP.   Part One: The Singles In preparation for the release of the EP Interpol has dropped two singles, “The Weekend” and “Fine Mess”. “Fine Mess” was the first of the two which hit Spotify and other outlets on Jan 30, 2019, with “The Weekend” being released on March 28. Both of these singles fall into the signature Interpol genre of highly instrumental indie rock/post-punk with great, abstract lyricism. As expected, the returning members for the recording of the EP consist of, the starter of the band, Daniel Kessler on lead guitar, the vocalist/rhythm…

Anthem vs. The Division 2: What Anthem Should Have Been and Why The Division Succeeds

On February 22nd, 2019, the game development company, Bioware, released the game Anthem. Anthem had so much hype built up so everyone expected it to be an amazing game. But when the player base actually got to play the game, Bioware received some very unwelcome feedback. All the talk about Anthem being a good game had evaporated. Everybody hated the game; Anthem was not what was expected at all. The game has gone downhill, and talk about the game has ended, because the hype about Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 was beginning. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is a game made by the game development company, Ubisoft. Ubisoft is widely known for games such as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is the sequel to the popular game by Ubisoft, The Division. The Division 2, which released on March 15th,…

Has Samsung FInally Hit It Off After A Dry 2018?

The Samsung Galaxy S10 was announced at Samsung’s 2019 Unpacked event on February 20th to a very hyped crowd. This year, instead of the usual two Galaxy S models, S and the S Plus, Samsung announced a staggering three phones, the S10, the S10 plus and the S10 E. Each of the three new phones comes with the blazingly fast Snapdragon 855, a top of the line eight-core processor that was released in late 2018 which allows for fast browsing and app usage. Along with the new processor, each model comes with different amounts of ram and each phone also has different configurations(Basically the more ram you have you can run more, bigger programs, MORE IS BETTER). The S10 E’s base model comes with six gigs of ram and 128 gigs of onboard storage while the higher end configuration comes with eight gigs of ram and 256 gigs of storage….

Should You Watch Hunter X Hunter Before Netflix Removes It?

Hunter X Hunter is a show on Netflix you may not have heard of. It did not get very popular while it was included in the Netflix library; this is why Netflix got rid of it. Just recently Netflix added Hunter X Hunter back and I suggest trying it out. Hunter X Hunter is a great show with believable characters, great story, lots of funny moments, as well as some intense fights. I loved this show while it was on Netflix. I would watch it every night. I knew every theme song from every season. As you can probably tell I loved this show. When Netflix removed it from the library I was extremely sad, but now that it is back I can enjoy it once more, and I suggest you do the same before it is removed again. The story is set in a world where there are people…

The Forest: A Glitchy, Boring Mess

SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers for the video game, The Forest. The Forest started off strong. You’re stranded in a forest after a violent plane crash with a strange creature taking your son after the crash. You pick up an axe and survey your surroundings, maybe explore a little bit and run around with your friends. (Assuming you’re playing with them.) And then you see them–strange humanoid creatures running around in packs, and you’re forced to slash them with your axe, or you run away as you look behind you, anxious they’re on your back. This is the fun part of The Forest. And you better enjoy it, because it’s probably going to be the only fun you’re going to have. Actually, I take that back. There is some fun left to be had. You may waste some time building up a base, defending from attacks from the creatures. Then the…

Daredevil Season 3 Review

Warning: CONTAINS SPOILERS Daredevil is one of the best showS ever to be created. The season has a 93% Rotten Tomatoes score, which is well deserved. This show is part of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), which means it is in the same universe as Spider-Man, Iron Man and basically everyone you see in the Marvel movies. Ok, now that the facts are out of the way, time to get on to the review. So, I just finished Daredevil season 3 and it was a really good show. The entire season is based around the storyline of “Born Again” written by Frank Miller. The writers for the show did change the story from the comic a little bit but it worked out pretty well. Pretty much the biggest part that they changed about it is that they told Karen Page’s backstory like it was at the end of her story. I highly…

Mega Man 11 Review

Includes Spoilers Mega Man 11 is the latest instalment in the Mega Man series. It features the new mechanic, and really, the coolest feature in a Mega Man game to date: the “double gear system”. This allows you to either “Speed up”(which is really slowing time), or “Power up” which makes your attacks stronger. There is a third mode after you’re down to around 4 bars of health you unlock Overdrive which activates both Power and Speed and gives a strong attack but after the timer ends everything is disabled for a long time. This game has several difficulty levels: Newcomer for noobs like me or people who have never played a Mega man game, Casual for players who want a small challenge, Normal for a real challenge, and Superhero in the game’s own words “only the truest, most hardcore fans need apply.  That is scary hard. The robot bosses…

Review: Super Smash Brothers Ultimate

This review is intended for readers who are already familiar with the Super Smash Brothers franchise.  In Super Smash Bros Ultimate everyone is here (as they will constantly remind you even though to date Waluigi is not a playable character so 0/10 no Waluigi). Actually the developers changed a lot of the final smashes and my favorite character is Mega Man and his smash art was changed to add Bass and Rockman. New characters were added such as Snake, Pichu, Daisy, and around 15,000,000 new Fire Emblem characters. Ice Climbers were added and the blue Ice climber dies individually. Now all amiibos for Super Smash Bros Ultimate characters work like wedding suit Mario. All of the extremely cool looking combos are still here but they are easier to do and do not require a 6th finger. All in all the new game looks cleaner, more fluid, and more expansive. Like…

Video Game DLC Review – Battlefield 1: In The Name of the Tsar

This summer has offered many different games for teenagers and kids to dive into and enjoy. Today I am going to talk about a game that has swept the world. Battlefield 1 was released last October in a spectacular way pulling hundreds of thousands of gamers across the globe. With gamers eager to get new content, Battlefield entered the French into the battle however players were hungry again, so EA and Dice’s response was Soviet Russia. No, no, I mean Russia. On September 19 (September 5th if you had Premium) they released the Russians to fight for the Tsar in the new DLC (Downloadable content) “IN THE NAME OF THE TSAR!” I took it on myself to purchase and play the DLC and I have spent the last couple weeks playing the game so I can make a fair review of it. The new Russian expansion has brought the most…
