Pokemon Sword and Shield

“Pokemon Sword & Shield” is the next game in the Pokemon franchise the game will be released on November 15 of this year. It is the second Pokémon game on the Nintendo Switch, but the first new game, because “Pokemon Lets Go,” “Pikachu,” and “Let’s Go Eevee” don’t count as new games since they are remakes. Sword and Shield take place in the Galar region, which is a recreation of Great Britain. It has all new Pokemon and some new forms of fan favorite Pokemon like Weezing, Linoone, and Farfetched. Galarian Weezing is grey with a green smoky moustache and a top hat like thing on his head which spews green smoke. Linoone is now black and white and has a new evolution, Obstagoon, who is a normal dark type with reckless. Farfetched gets a new evolution in Sirfetched who is a lancer exclusive to Pokemon Sword and Shield. The games have several new features to make battles more interesting. Aside from the game just looking better new ingame abilities for the Pokemon are a definite plus. The biggest feature (pun definitely intended) is Dynamaxing which allows most Pokemon to grow in size, and is usually only going to be used in gym battles. However there is also Gigantamaxing which makes some Pokemon even bigger and adds the G-Max move to their repertoire which is a powerful attack specific to whichever Pokemon you use. The addition of this feature sadly removes an important part of recent games, Mega Evolutions. Also Z-Moves are being removed, but those were bad. This new Pokemon game looks like a nice stable addition to the games, and even though every Pokemon game is basically the same I am still going to get these new ones simply because they’re there.
