Game Overview: Fortnite VS PUBG

Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battle Grounds (PUBG) are both very similar Battle Royale style FPS/TPS games, but what are the differences and which is better? Fortnite Battle Royale is currently in Beta on all systems and will be officially released later in 2018, while PUBG was released for PC earlier this and will come to Xbox in 2018.

Fortnite is a survival building game that is testing out a Battle Royale after seeing the success of PUBG. In the campaign you have to build a fort, survive a waves of zombies, you can also do missions. In these missions you can save survivors from the zombies and the storm. You can venture out into the storm and find new materials and weapons to use. Fortnite uses “redesigns” of weapons that are iconic. Like a bolt action rifle that may not be real, but is based off real a bolt-action rifle. They do use real classes of ammunition for different weapons. You can build in Fortnite which helps split up the fighting. You can make your own cover by building a structure out of wood and metals to defend from enemies. Fortnite is a much more colorful of a game with bright environments and a bus that floats with jets and a parachute. In this mode you can run across the map and fight in mini battles to win and survive out of the 100 people.

PUBG started as a Battle Royale changing the way we think of games. PUBG uses real ammunitions, and real weapons that are iconic. PUBG feels much more authentic and real. In PUBG you can drive vehicles, and this totally changes up the game play. In PUBG if the blue circle player area closes, you can take a boat or car to the other side of the map to avoid it.

In conclusion, they are both great games that you should play and it is tough to decide which is better, but I have to give it to Fortnite. Fortnite is free to play and is on PC, PS4, and Xbox 1, while PUBG is for PC and Xbox 1 only. Also the fact that Fortnite has a campaign which I find more interesting. Thanks for joining me.
