NBA Update: November

76ers

The 76ers seem to be an on/off team. Some nights they can’t seem to make shots and make many mistakes. On other nights they seem to make many shots and have very great ball movement. On a few games they have won by very small margins. The 76ers aren’t a bad team, and they aren’t a good team. It is very hard to predict what they will do next. The 76ers do have some good players in Ben Simmons, Markelle Fultz, and Joel Embiid. The only problem is Ben and Markelle are rookies.

Defending Champions

The Golden State Warriors recently lost to the Memphis grizzlies 110 – 101. This game was another stunning loss. In the fourth quarter the referee didn’t call something that Steph Curry wanted him to call. Kevin Durant went on to yell at the ref and Steph Curry threw his mouthpiece. Both of these players were ejected from the game with only 43 seconds left in the fourth.

Jersey Malfunctions

In other news the NBA has come out with new Nike connected jerseys, but there is one problem. The jerseys look very nice, however they rip very easily. Lebron James’s jersey ripped right between the numbers playing against the Celtics. Also, Tyler Ennis’s jersey ripped with a giant hole in the back. Is it worth having these amazing looking jerseys if they are going to rip?

Injury Report

A player name Kyle Lowry on the Toronto raptors suffered a painful injury playing against the Utah Jazz. Lowry was running to the hoop and went for the dunk, but on the way down he fell on his chin. He was very high in the air and could not get his hand in the right place quick enough to save himself. Instead, he landed chin first on the wood floor and ended up injuring his chin.

A player on the Cleveland Cavaliers named Tristan Thompson revisited a calf injury. When Tristan went to steal the ball he tweaked his left calf. He had already had a calf injury prior to this. Hopefully, he did not re-injure his leg to bad and will be back on the court soon.
