Pokemon Day 2022 Recap

Pokemon Day was February 27th, and it might have been the best one ever. It started out with a creepy Pikachu in the background of the President of the Pokemon company talking.
But when it actually started, it started out pretty weak with a Pokemon GO Update for the Alola region. Not a lot of people have really played Pokemon Go since 2017 anyway but the people who do must be pretty happy about it.
Next was an update to Pokemon Masters EX, adding the Victory Road feature, which has many strong trainers that can be battled, like Cynthia, Steven, and Leon. These trainers can not only be battled, players can also team up with them. Finally, they added several rare trainers in different costumes for the game. This update is pretty cool, but again, no one really plays this game. To be honest, I downloaded the game but deleted it in 10 minutes because it wasn’t really that fun.
Then another update to a game not a lot of people play, Pokemon Cafe Remix, the puzzle game. I don’t really have a lot to say about this update because I don’t really know anything about this game. From what I can understand, they added a delivery feature to the cafe. Do I know what that does? No.
Pokemon Unite got an update. They added Hoopa and are going to add Duraludon soon. These characters are probably going to be terrible or extremely good.
Then they got into the games all Pokemon fans were waiting for… starting with an update to Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl adding Oak’s letter, allowing players to get the Mythical Pokemon Shaymin, which fans have been waiting for since the release of the game in November.
But then it got better with free DLC for Pokemon Legends Arceus, the Daybreak update. This update gives players a new story and a new way to find rare Pokemon, with the Massive Mass Outbreak feature. It also gives players a chance to fight very powerful Pokemon with the Eternal Battle Reverie, which takes place while the player is sleeping. They must not get a very good night’s sleep…
The next and final update was DETECTIVE PIKACHU 2! Or at least that’s what we all thought. It actually ended up being a preview of the next Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. These games are based on Spain and Portugal. They also revealed the starter Pokemon. The grass starter is Sprigatito, a cat. The fire starter is Fuecoco, a crocodile. The water starter is Quaxly, a duck. I don’t know who I’m going to pick, I like them all a lot. But no matter what happens in this game, Charizard should NOT get a new form!
