Avengers and Captain Marvel Trailers Are Here!

The new Avengers and Captain Marvel trailers came out during the Superbowl commercials. I am going to be breaking down each of the trailers scene by scene.   Let’s start off with the Avengers trailer. The opening scene is just flicking through the whole MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), and then it cuts to the famous Marvel Logo. It cuts to three different shots of New York city. They filmed the Citi Field, The Statue Of Liberty, and a long shot. It cuts to a scene of a rehab group and Captain America saying, “Some people move on, but not us.” Then there are different shots of every Avenger getting ready for the final battle.  This movie sees the return of Ant Man. People have been going crazy over this because the ending of Ant Man and the Wasp, he was stuck in the quantum realm. This sequence of events ends…

The Forest: A Glitchy, Boring Mess

SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers for the video game, The Forest. The Forest started off strong. You’re stranded in a forest after a violent plane crash with a strange creature taking your son after the crash. You pick up an axe and survey your surroundings, maybe explore a little bit and run around with your friends. (Assuming you’re playing with them.) And then you see them–strange humanoid creatures running around in packs, and you’re forced to slash them with your axe, or you run away as you look behind you, anxious they’re on your back. 2019 Overwatch League Preview

The Overwatch League (OWL) will start on February 14. Twelve teams from around the world will compete to be the top team and win the Overwatch League 2019 championship. The OWL will start with the regular season. The regular season is divided into four stages, each consists of ten matches. Each team will play 40 matches in all. Each stage is a different game mode: assault, assist, hybrid, or control with unique map types. Whichever team wins the majority, wins the match. If it is a tie, they play a tiebreaker on a control map. The Title Match happens on the last Saturday of each stage. The second and third place teams compete for the chance to take on the top team of the stage. After the regular season, six teams qualify for the playoffs. The Government Shutdown and What It Means for Our Country

The border wall was one of Trump’s first campaign promises, and he is currently asking for $5 billion to fund its building. Trump has also decided to shutdown the government to try and get Democrats to fund his wall. To make matters worse, this shutdown is leaving thousands without jobs,while national parks like the National Mall are flooded with trash because there is no one there to pick it up. This fight is not without reason, as Trump has said on multiple occasions that the south border is bringing in drugs, gangs and human traffickers. Results of Russian Experiment to Domesticate Foxes

   We don’t know much about how dogs and cats were domesticated. We have never recorded the process of the domestication of a wild animal. The fact that we have successfully orchestrated the domestication of foxes is amazing. There are very few domesticated foxes in the world, they are part of a 60-year-old Russian experiment by Dmitry Belyayev involving a process that could be described as evolution. Dmitry chose, out of a large selection of wild foxes, the foxes that showed the least aggression towards humans. Those friendly foxes were allowed to breed, then the same process was applied to the offspring. This process continued and eventually 70% of the foxes had reached a high level of friendliness. This meant that the foxes showed no fear or aggression towards humans whatsoever unless provoked. This was a breakthrough and even after Dmitry died in 1985, the experiment continued. Rare Eclipse: Super Blood Wolf Moon!

On January 20th/21st, 2019, a very special celestial event happened in our skies. A Super, Blood, and Wolf Moon.  A Supermoon is when the moon is closest to the Earth, when it can look up to 35% bigger. A Blood Moon is when the Moon is perfectly in the shadow of the Earth, which causes the light from the sun to be filtered through our atmosphere, which makes the Moon look bright red. A Wolf Moon is the first full moon in a year. This event is very special because every one of these events happened at the same time. The first Full Moon of 2019, lining up perfectly with the shadow of the Earth, coming closest to the Earth in its orbit. This is a Lunar Eclipse, very different from the well known Solar Eclipse. Hytale: Minecraft’s Killer?

  If you are not familiar with Hytale, which is highly probable despite the announcement trailer having well over thirty million views, I’ll give you a quick rundown of what the game is set to be. Hytale was named “Hytale” after its creators, the staff of the extremely popular minecraft server “Hypixel,” whose server holds about twenty thousand players on average throughout the day. Punisher Season 2 Recap

WARNING: SPOILERS The Punisher season two came out on January 18 with Jonny Bernthal as the famous comic book character Frank Castle, or The Punisher. The main villain is Billy Russo, A.K.A. Jigsaw, who is from the comics. There is a side villain named John Pilgrim. His character isn’t in the comics so he was made up for the show. Giorgia Whigham plays the new character Amy Bendix who was a runaway teen that Frank protects from getting killed from John’s army. Frank takes Amy with him on his journey, and this forms an amazing relationship between the two. Amber Rose Revah plays Dinah Madani who is a Department Of Homeland Security (DHS) Agent who was in the last season. She appears this season and plays a major part in taking down Billy. Opinion: 8K TV’s High-Def Scam

When I first heard about 8k TV I was like, cool! Yay! Then I thought, how can the tech industry keep increasing the amount the amount of pixels if the human eye has a set limit? They can’t. 8K–what does it mean? The k in 8k is 1000. That is the amount of pixels on the width of the TV. Increasing that means either increasing the size of your tv or decreasing the size of each pixel. The human eye can’t see that much without moving closer and closer so, 8k TV is a huge scam. It is not worth your money to buy something that has almost no difference unless your screen is enormous or your nose is pressed against it. 4k TV is the max, so spending money on this is just silly. 8k TV actually has no content yet and is still unavailable to the large part…

Announcing 5G Internet

5G, or fifth generation wireless, is the new generation of internet that will supposedly run at very fast speeds.  5G is only available in a few cities, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, and Sacramento and even in those cities access is limited and not even at top projected speeds. To understand why 5G is projected to be faster than 4G it is helpful to understand the way the signals are transmitted. According to highspeedinternet.com, 4G runs on cell towers placed in specific locations to reach a broad area.  5G focuses more on power than range. 5G is like having a lot of home wifi routers all throughout a city; they don’t have as broad a range, but they are more powerful. Since these “routers” are easier to install than giant cell towers, they are considered an exciting new advancement in wifi technology.  There are downsides to 5G, too.
