Disney’s live action remake of Beauty and the Beast /coming in second with $1,263,000,000 internationally. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 with 863,000,000 internationally. With 2017 being so big, the bar has definitely been raised very high. Avengers Infinity War (2018) Avengers: Infinity War is the long awaited climax the MCU up to this point. All of the superheroes from across the MCU will come together to fight a common enemy, Thanos. Where are the Infinity Stones?

As many of you know the Avengers: Infinity War trailer dropped recently, and the hype has been HUGE. This is not going to be a review article but an article on the biggest question in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)… where are the Infinity Stones? There are six Stones, the Mind Gem, Soul Gem, Space Gem, Reality Stone, Power Stone, Time Gem. Today I will be going over the known locations of the Infinity Stones. Let’s start with the Space Stone. The Space Stone is inside the Tesseract. We first see it in the post credit scene of Thor and then fully in Captain America: The First Avenger and in many subsequent MCU movies . With the ability to generate wormholes, it allows species to travel huge distances in an instant. Loki uses the Tesseract to unleash the Chitauri in New York in The Avengers. This event is known as…

Stranger Things Season 1 Review Pt. 2

Hey guys, at this point you have probably read my part 1 of the season one review. This one should be a little bit longer, but then again, I am covering more material. Let’s get into it! After several phone calls from Will, and his music turning on in his room, his mother Joyce strings up fairy lights and uses them to communicate with him (as he can turn them on and off somehow). Will manages to speak to his Mother, revealing he’s alive; but Joyce’s hopes are crushed when Will’s supposed body is found in the quarry. Sheriff Hopper has been searching for Will, believing first that he’d just run off to his father’s house; but then realising it was something more sinister. Hopper then visits Hawkins Lab, where he was shown some security footage to prove Will had never been there, which then turns out to be doctored….

Stranger Things Season 1 Review Pt. 1

As almost everyone knows at this point, Stranger Things season two came out recently. Stranger Things has turned into a cultural phenomenon over the last year. The main actors have been turned into child stars overnight! I have been a little late with watching it, as I only just started a few weeks ago. In order to update others who may be in my position, I have written a recap of season one!   [!!SPOILER ALERT!!] Consider yourselves warned.   Season one opens with Will, Dustin, Mike, and Lucas playing the role playing game Dungeons and Dragons in Mike’s basement. Upon finishing, they each bike home. Lucas and Dustin peel off after a few minutes leaving Will to bike home through the woods. He spots a Humanoid creature, he runs home terrified. Unable to find his mom and brother he runs to his shed in his backyard and vanishes. This…

13 Spooky Halloween Superstitions

Hi, Dylan here! As many of you know, and are readily waiting for, Halloween is around the corner. Many of us will be going around and stealing candy from people’s doors while dressed up as inflatable dinosaurs. Aside from this fun, Halloween is a very superstitious holiday. It is rumored to be the day that the dead come back to haunt for one night. Nowadays, it is more about candy and costumes, but back in the 1600s, it was a very terrifying day. Here are 13 spooky Halloween superstitions… A person born on Halloween can speak to and see spirits and ghosts A burning a candle inside a jack-o-lantern on Halloween keeps evil spirits and demons at bay. To cast a headless shadow or no shadow at all is still believed by many folks in the United States and Europe to be an omen of death in the course of…

Crisis in Puerto Rico: Hurricane Maria

As many of you know, this hurricane season has been the worst in decades. With Harvey hitting Texas and Louisiana, Irma hitting Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, Jose hitting Florida, and then Maria slamming into Puerto Rico just days after Irma. Hello, I am Dylan and I will be giving you a crash course on the devastation and relief efforts in Puerto Rico. Two weeks ago Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico. According to NASA, the wind speeds were over 155 miles per hour. It made landfall on September 20th, 2017. It was the strongest hurricane since the 1800’s. About 97% of the island’s 3.4 million inhabitants are in the dark. One week after Hurricane Maria slammed into Puerto Rico, Governor Ricardo Rosselló said that about half of the residents still do not have running water. Since Puerto Rico is an island there is no where to go to…

Top 10 Common Misconceptions

I’ve been thinking there are a ton of misconceptions that are just believed to be facts… So, here is a list of the top 10 most common misconceptions. The misconceptions are in bold and the truth follows. Ostriches bury their heads in the sand when they are scared. Most people believe it but it is not true. Ostriches eat rocks to ease their digestive system so they bend down and briefly stick their heads in the sand to collect the pebbles. Tomatoes are a vegetable. They are fruits. Peanuts are nuts. They are actually in the same family as beans and peas: Leguminosae. Coffee is made from beans. It isn’t, they are made from seeds. Chameleons change color to match their surroundings. They actually change color as a response to mood, temperature, communication and light instead of the object they are touching You can see the Great Wall of China…
